Bulk Label Ordering: Volume Pricing & Trade Accounts

Labels are a consumable your business uses every day. Buying shipping labels, product labels or warehouse identification tags in bulk reduces your per-unit cost and ensures you don't run short at a critical moment. LabelDepot offers structured volume pricing and dedicated trade accounts designed for businesses that consume labels at scale.

Why Buy Labels in Bulk?

Ordering labels in larger quantities is one of the simplest ways to reduce operational costs. Beyond the obvious price-per-label savings, bulk ordering delivers several practical advantages:

  • Lower unit cost: our tiered pricing means the more you order, the less you pay per roll or sheet. Savings of 15-30% are typical at higher volume tiers.
  • Reduced freight cost: consolidating orders into fewer, larger shipments cuts per-unit freight significantly, particularly for interstate and regional deliveries across Australia.
  • Supply continuity: maintaining buffer stock means your operations aren't disrupted by lead times or supply chain delays.
  • Consistency: ordering in bulk from a single production run ensures uniform colour, adhesive performance and material characteristics across your entire stock.
  • Less administrative overhead: fewer purchase orders, fewer invoices and fewer deliveries to process.

Volume Pricing Tiers

LabelDepot operates a straightforward volume pricing structure across our standard label range. The more you order, the deeper the discount. Pricing is applied automatically at checkout for online orders, or quoted directly for trade account customers.

Tier Order Quantity Typical Saving Best For
Standard 1 - 9 units Retail pricing Small businesses, trial orders
Trade 10 - 49 units 10 - 15% Regular business use
Volume 50 - 199 units 15 - 22% Multi-site operations
Warehouse 200+ units 22 - 30%+ Large-scale logistics, 3PLs

Units refer to rolls, packs or boxes depending on the product. For custom or non-standard products, contact our trade team for a tailored quote.

How Trade Accounts Work

A LabelDepot trade account gives your business access to wholesale pricing, flexible payment terms and dedicated account management. Trade accounts are available to registered Australian businesses including sole traders, partnerships, companies and government entities.

Trade Account Benefits

  • Wholesale pricing: access to trade-tier pricing on every order, regardless of individual order size.
  • 30-day payment terms: approved accounts receive net 30-day terms on invoice, subject to credit approval.
  • Dedicated account manager: a single point of contact who understands your business and can advise on product selection.
  • Priority fulfilment: trade orders are picked and dispatched with priority, reducing lead times.
  • Custom product sourcing: need a non-standard size, material or adhesive? Your account manager can source or manufacture to specification.
  • Scheduled ordering: set up recurring orders on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly schedule so stock arrives automatically.

How to Apply

Applying for a trade account is straightforward. You'll need to provide your ABN, business details and an estimate of your monthly label consumption. Most applications are approved within one to two business days. Submit your trade account application here.

Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs)

For standard catalogue products available in our online shop, there's no minimum order quantity. You can purchase a single roll or pack. To access volume pricing tiers, minimum quantities apply as outlined in the pricing table above.

For custom-printed or bespoke labels, minimum order quantities depend on the product specification:

  • Custom thermal labels: MOQ of 12 rolls per size/specification.
  • Pre-printed colour labels: MOQ of 1,000 labels (flexo) or 500 labels (digital).
  • Custom die-cut shapes: MOQ of 5,000 labels due to tooling requirements.

Case Quantities and Packaging

Most LabelDepot products are available in case quantities for efficient storage and handling. Ordering by the case is the most cost-effective option and simplifies stock management in your warehouse or print room.

Product Type Typical Case Quantity Packaging
Thermal direct rolls 12 rolls per case Shrink-wrapped, boxed
Thermal transfer rolls 8 - 12 rolls per case Individually wrapped, boxed
A4 sheet labels 100 sheets per pack, 10 packs per case Boxed
Ribbon (wax/resin) 12 ribbons per case Boxed with core adapters

Ordering in full case quantities also reduces the risk of damage during transit and makes warehouse receiving faster and simpler.

Freight and Delivery

LabelDepot ships Australia-wide from our warehouse. Standard delivery is via road freight with typical transit times of one to three business days for metro areas and three to seven business days for regional locations. For urgent requirements, express freight options are available at checkout.

Orders over $500 (ex. GST) qualify for free standard freight to Australian metro addresses. Trade account customers may have bespoke freight arrangements. Speak with your account manager for details.
